Terms & Conditions
1. Booking and Payment
All lessons must be booked in advance through the Smart Ride Inc booking system or directly with the instructor.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure the lesson date and time.
Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
Smart Ride reserves the right to decline a booking at its discretion.
2. Cancellation Policy
Smart Ride Inc operates a strict 48-hour cancellation policy due to the limited number of coaching slots available.
- Lessons cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time may be rearranged subject to availability.
- Lessons cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson time will be charged in full and are non-refundable.
- Failure to attend a scheduled lesson will be treated as a cancellation within 48 hours and the full lesson fee will be payable.
In exceptional circumstances, Smart Ride Inc may, at its discretion, offer an alternative date.
3. Late Arrival
Clients are expected to arrive on time and ready to ride.
If a client arrives late, the lesson may be shortened so that other bookings are not
affected. The full lesson fee will still apply.
If a client is more than 15 minutes late, Smart Ride Inc reserves the right to cancel the session and treat it as a non-attendance.
4. Weather Conditions
Motorcycle training takes place in real-world riding conditions and sessions will normally proceed in typical UK weather including rain.
However, Smart Ride reserves the right to postpone or cancel a session if weather conditions are considered unsafe. Where this occurs, the lesson will be rearranged at no additional cost.
5. Rider Requirements

- Ensure their motorcycle is road legal, taxed, insured, and maintained in safe working order
- Wear appropriate protective riding equipment, including a helmet, gloves, and suitable riding clothing
- Arrive in a fit state to ride
Smart Ride reserves the right to refuse training if a rider appears unsafe, unfit to ride, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such cases the session will be cancelled, and no refund will be given.
6. Motorcycle and Equipment Responsibility
Clients remain responsible for ensuring their motorcycle is roadworthy, insured, and legal for road use.
Smart Ride accepts no responsibility for mechanical failure, damage, or associated costs relating to the client’s motorcycle or equipment.
7. Personal Safety and Risk
Motorcycle riding carries an inherent level of risk.
By participating in training with Smart Ride, the rider acknowledges that they are voluntarily taking part in motorcycle riding activities and accepts the associated risks.
Clients must follow all road traffic laws and instructor guidance during the session.
8. Liability
Smart Ride provides advanced rider coaching and observational guidance. The rider remains fully responsible for the control of their motorcycle and their riding decisions at all times.
Smart Ride shall not be held liable for:
- accidents or incidents occurring during training
- damage to motorcycles or equipment

Nothing within these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
9. Photography and Media
Smart Ride may occasionally take photographs or video during sessions for training, promotional, or social media purposes.
If a client prefers not to appear in photographs or video, they should inform the instructor before the session begins.
10. Changes to Bookings
Smart Ride reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, including instructor illness, safety concerns, or operational requirements.
Where this occurs, an alternative date will be offered or a refund provided.

Smart Ride cannot guarantee specific riding outcomes, skill levels, or riding results following a training session.
Clients acknowledge that coaching provides guidance and development, and that continued practice and personal responsibility are essential to improving riding performance.
